This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I played with a GeoSafari as a student. I still remember many of the facts I learned from playing. I would love to share this experience with my students. My students have a hard time reading maps and looking at globes. The GeoSafari is a fun way to learn various geography skills

I teach at a high-needs elementary school in Nevada.

We have a low socio-economic population, and more than three-fourths of the students have free or reduced-price lunch. We recently became a Title I school, but we still need some help. Our student population consists of African American, Hispanic and Caucasian students. Many of our Hispanic students are learning the English language.

My Project

I am asking for GeoSafari laptops. The GeoSafari laptop is a fun interactive game of knowledge that incorporates different lesson cards. It has adjustable time, which is great for all levels of readers, and three ways to play. They can challenge themselves, enjoy exciting head-to-head competition or work as a team. The GeoSafari laptop is self-contained with a special compartment for the cards. I can divide the students into small cooperative groups and each group could work with one of the social studies topics. These laptops teach to their different learning styles or modalities.

Your donation will make it possible for my students to learn more about geography.

The GeoSafari present the information in a fun and video game like format. It will strengthen their love of learning!
