World Biomes Mural

My students need materials such as paint brushes, acrylic paint and photo references of habitats and world biomes.

My Students

Walk amongst the macaws, cheetahs, elephants and parrot fish on the way to lunch. My 600 hundred art students,in kindergarten through sixth grade, walk through a long, boring, dingy white hallway to get to our two cafeterias and the art room.

We are a high needs urban community with a small budget but we are inspired to make our halls beautiful with the biomes of the world.

My students love tropical rain forest animals and we want to continue what we have started down the rest of the hallway. I have hundreds of willing students, a devoted community volunteer and wonderful blank walls to help make this dream a reality.

My Project

We need acrylic paint,paint brushes and photo references and visuals to make this project a success. Students are already excited to be drawing and painting on the school walls. Students of all ages are learning about animal habitats and the different biomes of our world. Students have also been working as teams to complete this project. The photo references and paint brushes will be taken care of and used by future students in other projects.

Your help with make it possible for students to work together to create a mural that will last for many years.

Student are excited about the changes that have taken place in the hallway. This is also the main school entrance and exit so everyday we have parents and staff and students stopping by to check out the latest animal painted on the wall. We are looking forward to finishing the mural with all of the biomes represented.
