My Students

Do you have hundreds of pictures of your child in Kindergarten? I think all children should have pictures to remind them of the fun they have growing up. I would love to take many pictures of my class, but the entire school shares two cameras. It is difficult to have a camera when you need one.

My class has fantastic children in it.

They are bright, cheerful, happy children. I would like to create a memory book for them of their time in kindergarten. I hope to have pictures to put in our news letter that show the children working and having fun at school. I would love to video them doing work in the classroom. I will use this with this class and all future classes. You can see that many teachers ask for cameras because they offer so many teaching possibilities in the classroom.

My Project

There are a lot of uses for cameras in the classroom. I will be sending pictures home of things we do in class. This will spark conversation with parents. This conversation will help with learning. I will take pictures of the children and let them write about the pictures. This is a fantastic writing lesson. I will take short videos of the children and let them see their plays or puppet shows. I will create an end of the year memory book for the children and a slide show for the parents. I will take pictures of the children doing learning activities to document their learning. I will make the children know that they are important every time I take their picture. There are just so many ways that a camera helps with learning.

You would be helping our class tremendously by supporting this project.

I can't tell you how many times we have to run around the school searching for a camera to catch a kindergarten moment. Thank you for considering helping us.
