I teach an at-risk Pre-K inclusion class, in which three of the fifteen students have special needs. My class is part of a public school system in which students qualify by demonstration a developmental need.

Our program provides us with the basic art and science materials. I want my students to have the opportunity to explore materials that will provide them with increased exposure and enhance their learning experiences.

I need a more eclectic collection of materials that will allow students to show creativity and serve as an additional method of learning to increase academic competency. I have requested textured collage shapes, translucent mosaic tiles, people sticks. These items will foster their creativity. I also requested watch-it-grow kits, sensory discovery kits, color mixing learning centers. These items will enhance center activities that are planned for each unit. The art supplies will allow for student led creativity that will allow them to express themselves through art. The science materials will allow them to explore through hands-on learning , providing an opportunity to make learning meaningful.

By supporting this project you will provide my students with increased opportunities to learn and express themselves through art and science.
