Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach students in grades 5th -7th grade in a high needs community in the inner city. My classroom is a resource room for students with learning disabilities. Our school is a Title 1 public school in a large district.

My classroom has one computer in it and the laptop I use for the LCD projector. We definitely need much more. I truly believe technology can help my students become better readers and mathematicians. There are so many programs on the computer for them to use.

Unfortunately, our district has not purchased new computers for the schools and school budgets are cut. My students know how to use technology and want to use it. This is a motivator. I am even thinking of emailing them their homework and allowing them to print it out in class.

Please support this project and help even out of the playing field. Our schools are old, our technology is low, but the love of learning is high. I have some great students who want to excel. Please help them.
