My Students

Students are more frequently accessing lessons online and reviewing content outside of the classroom. The ability to record lessons is crucial for this access.

My students have a variety of special needs and speak a wide variety of languages.

Many of them benefit from the ability to go back and re-watch lessons from class and would greatly benefit from having access to audio as well. Digital content allows for all students to access high levels of content regardless of barriers.

My Project

Providing audio from multiple locations in the room will remove the need for preferential seating for students with hearing disabilities. By using a wireless mic and amplifier I will have the flexibility to stand anywhere in the room without disrupting my students ability to hear me clearly. Having a mic on will also allow other students to hear conversations and questions posed by their classmates across the room more easily. Recording capability will allow me to post classroom conversations online for review by students. Removing barriers to learning will greatly enhance the learning experience of these students.

This project will allow a wide range of students to better access content both in and out of the classroom.

Students who have learning needs and/or disabilities will no longer be excluded from accessing content at the highest levels. Providing access to digital content for my students makes my course accessible and manageable for all students.
