Do you remember your senior year in high school? Did you experience any anxiety over the life-long decisions, that were now on your doorstep? I am a counselor in a high school that services over 500 seniors who are optimistic about their next step in life, but have the same aforementioned challenges. Our senior class has over 40 students who have a 4.0 GPA or above. in addition, 100% of our students are on track for on time graduation.
This senior class has contributed to society by completing community service projects like, feeding the homeless, organizing mental health awareness campaigns, and clothing drives that benefit the less fortunate.
The compassion that his group has shown collectively has been astounding and inspirational.
There are too many amazing individuals who have added value to our school to single any out. Academically and socially these students are ready to make an impact on the world.
My Project
The materials I am requesting are going to give the counseling department at my high school, the ability to give presentations about navigating the college process to students. The projector, computer and printer are all integral parts of giving an enraging presentation.
The students at my school are hard-working, ambitious, attentive, and deserving of the best education possible.
The items requested will be used to educate students about 4 year universities and colleges, 2 year community colleges, technical education, and the military. Educating these students about their options after high school increases their chances of choosing the post secondary path that suits them best. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
