My Students

Over the past few months, my students and I worked hard to get HP laptops funded through DonorsChoose and HP. We are so grateful for the outpouring of support we received and would like to be able to use the laptops to their fullest potential.

Recently my students have been doing a lot of work on their laptops, but I am not able to print off their work as often as I’d like.

In order to print their work, I have to go to their laptop, save the work to my USB drive, open it on my computer and print it from there. I’d like to alleviate the middleman in this situation, me! To solve this problem, I would like to get a wireless HP printer so that my students can print their work directly from their laptop.

My Project

One of my goals now that we have our new technology is to send published work (papers, PowerPoints, digital art, et cetera) home with students on a regular basis to show families what we are doing in class, since most families are unable to visit the classroom during the school year. I see this as my unique way of bridging school and home life. I hope the students’ work will spark discussions about school and get parents more involved in their children’s education.

Through your generosity, my deserving students will have full-time access to a printer to print all the assignments that they spend so much time working on!
