Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Elementary school students are notoriously curious! The second and third grade students that I have the pleasure of teaching at my linguistically, economically, and culturally diverse school are no exception.

My students come to me every day with new wonders, questions, and curiosities to satisfy. How big is a whale shark? Does a banana have seeds? How hot is a volcano? You name it, they've asked it! While our school is lucky enough to have a computer lab, my students only get the chance to use it once a week. Their questions, of course, do not follow that limited schedule.

My students need a computer in the classroom so that they can look up the answers to their many questions as they arise. With a classroom computer, my students will also be able to practice typing, play math games, and access on-line books and language activities. A classroom computer will open an entire world of technology to my students.

Your help will make it possible for my students to indulge their academic curiosities and gain invaluable time and practice with technology.
