Independent Reading Isn't a Myth!

My students need 14 books that I think will capture a wide range of my students this year and for upcoming years!

I am an English teacher who is really trying to teach my students the value of reading on their own. My students are from a low-income district and some of them need an escape from the places and situations they find themselves in.

I need to be able to offer a wide range of genres to my students so that I grab each one of their attentions! If I get them once, I know that I will be able to find more books that will captivate them and draw them into the world of reading.

These 14 new books will add to the collection that I have. I recently had a project funded on here. I received 17 books and the most beautiful thing happened when the books arrived. All of the books were off my shelves within two days! I have not had a chance to read one of them because I can't get my hands on them.

Please help keep that momentum going in my classroom. Please donate to this project so my books shelves are only filled for short periods at a time.
