I teach 7-8 band in a very high-needs community with low-income reaching 80% and rising unemployment.

Students are studying how to write music they would wish to perform with the ensemble. Students who write, currently do so by using manuscript paper and pencils, making the task extremely time consuming and difficult to read.

Finale will allow students to create professional quality scores and music that would make playing the song much easier.

This program will allow the students to enter into the 21st century of music composition, increase the output of compositions and allow for ease of performance by the students in the ensemble.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
