Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My high school is urban, diverse, and home to nearly 2000 students. Nearly 80% of the student body qualifies for the free lunch and wavier options; 100% want an opportunity to excel in life.

Throughout the years, countless of the students have excelled in our high school's art program. There is so much imagination, energy, and originality in so many of the students. We have basic art supplies, loads of commitment and produce wonderful pieces of art.

Nearly every year, the students win achievement awards for their art. To date, we have no suitable display stands. If we could obtain art easels to display their works, it would highlight and display their talents in a more professional manner.

Several of the students plan to attend a four year college or post secondary training in art. Everything we can offer them to support their talents and recognize their gift and abilities is important. With your help, the easels would place the students' art throughout the school. This would not only showcase the student’s artistic work but the displays might pique the interest of other prospective artists. The formal display of the students’ achievements would provide a platform for our young artists. The entire school community would benefit by the students’ creations on exhibits.
