Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Give the gift of sight! I am a Second Grade teacher in a city school in New York. I work in a classroom that blends general education and special education students. It is a wonderful joy to see all different types of learners working together. I also work in an area where approx. 99% of my students live in low-income housing.

Help me bring the Twenty-first Century to my students!! During out reading unit we have been working on learning to love our books so much that we almost become our characters! For our culminating project I would like the children to act out the books they read and create a movie collection that the students can watch and be even more inspired from. We will have a celebration and show this to the parents to also improve school-home relationships.

Our class needs one digital video recorder to help make our dreams of making a movie a reality. This simple tool can bring a lot of learning to our classroom this year and years to come!!
