My students need 5 boxed sets of books including titles from Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the Diary of A Wimpy Kid, Captain Underpants, and Encyclopedia Brown.

I am an elementary school teacher in NY. Our school services many low-income children in our area including a special needs population.

Kids love series, whenever they get hooked on a series, it will carry with them for years. They read and re-read the books for countless times. Our library sorely lacks these books. These popular series will develop a passion for reading that is needed with our students.

The resources we will need are several boxed sets (including Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Encyclopedia Brown, etc.). These series will develop a passion for reading by becoming involved in a series where you MUST continue to read in order to reach the conclusion. This will provide the students with a sense of accomplishment and purpose as they set out on their reading adventures.

Your help will ensure that my students have the most popular and requested books available to them to read and enjoy. You will make it possible for our students to become motivated to read and in the process succeed!
