Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Writing is fundamental to being successful in life. I teach 2nd grade at a high-needs school and I see my students struggle with writing daily.

One of our major struggles is the order of their writing folders. They are cumbersome and falling apart. Their writing is unorganized and not safely protected on loose pieces of paper.

I think the students would be more engaged AND more organized if they each had their own writer's workbook. They wouldn't have tons of loose papers floating around in their writing folders, and they could find things easily when needed.

If you choose to fund this project, you will make it possible for my students to do more productive daily writing. Their editing skills will also be boosted with daily editing practice from the editing journal. Please consider making a difference for our writing program! Thank you! :)
