I teach music at an elementary school that recently went from being a primary school for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade,t o an Elementary school adding 3rd - 5th grade students. As a result I have little to no instrument resources for these students. I have no budget for our music program at this time.

This past Fall, I surveyed my students and found that playing the guitar was their number one choice of what they wanted to learn in music this year. Many of my students are unable to take private music lessons. I would like to start teaching guitar as part of our general music program to the 5th grade students. I would also like to use the guitars with the 3rd & 4th grades to introduce them to the instrument.

I would also like to offer all my students the opportunity to learn to play the guitar. To do this we need a minimum of 15 guitars. We currently have 11 (thanks to DonorsChoose.org)and need 4 more to reach our goal.

Your support of this project will allow about 225 students to learn to play the guitar as part of their general music class at our school. Please consider assisting us reach our goal of 15 guitars.
