We are a middle-school special education class that has a high need for technology as well as basic supplies. All students live below the poverty line and most do not have access to technology.They come from various global cultures.

My students want to create a video to share that teaches others about their daily routine. They want to organize, interview, film and edit family and friends. They plan to share this with schools around the world and have already corresponded with pen-pals from Japan, India and Africa.

We need an up-to-date globe to help understand how the physical geography influences human characteristics. By sharing videos, our students will learn that people in other countries do not have what they have. They will learn to appreciate other people's lifestyles due to their surroundings. Due to the disaster in Haiti, my students have contributes to rescue efforts. They are beginning to understand the complexity of Earth's cultural mosaic.

Your help will empower my students to share their lives with other cultures. They will be able to demonstrate their creativity in how they relay information to our schools in other countries. They are passionately ready to share their world with the rest of the world.
