At my school we are in need of supplies that will allow our students an opportunity to observe plants and how they grow. It is our goal to produce vegetables that can be consumed by students and promote healthy eating habits. We are in need of soil, various vegetable seeds and planting materials to help get our project started. This will benefit our students in many different ways. Some of the students in my classroom are unfamiliar with certain vegetables. Some of my students could not identify tomatoes, onions or celery. When the students are able to grow various vegetables, it will expand their content knowledge about plants. It will also increase their vocabulary and help establish responsibility for our garden. Your help will ensure that my students are able to improve their knowledge about plants, which is one of our science objectives. I will be able to teach them about the life cycle of plants. Our current opportunities are limited to information from books and videos. You will make it possible for us to set up a garden that will give my students hands on experiences and visual aids and bring new life to my science curriculum. hide» My students need 7 different gardening supplies to create a vegetable garden at my school which will support healthy eating and allow students to view the life of a plant. details» |
