Have you ever had a bad case of writer's block? I'd like to introduce you to a motivated, creative, wonderful group of first graders that could use a push into the 21st Century!

What if you could document the little things in life on video? What if you could take learning outside the walls of the school and get the whole family involved? Unfortunately, we don't have accessible, usable, grade level appropriate digital tools to make these kinds of learning experiences possible.

I have an idea for just that...a spring board for writing ideas! Using the Flip Video Camcorder, my students can record their adventures at the playground, dinner with their family, or simply their morning or nighttime routines. We'll download the videos and learn to edit and arrange the moments into digital stories that can be shared in class and with parents at home. The Flip Video Camcorder is the perfect tool to introduce video literacy to students because it's easy to use, durable, and compact.

Your help will ensure that my students become 21st Century Learners by giving them the opportunity to explore creative technologies while building critical writing skills at the same time!
