I am a second year, first grade teacher in Wisconsin. My classroom consists of many English Language Learners (ELL) and students and readers from all reading levels.

Currently, my students are using cardboard book boxes to hold their independent reading books. They carry their book boxes to a reading spot around our room a couple times a day. These book boxes are falling apart to the point where books fall out of the bottom. Packaging tape can only do so much and the cardboard boxes will not last us much longer.

My students would LOVE to have sturdy plastic book bins to hold their reading books. This project will help students have access to organized books at their level reading level. I can use these bins year after year, therefore they will benefit numerous students.

You will make it possible for my students have book bins where they can keep their independent reading books. Please help us get new and sturdy book bins!
