My class is a fascinatingly diverse ethnically mixed classroom of 2nd graders in a high-need, low socio-economic district.

Our new math adoption has some excellent technology resources and our school district has subscribed to a math fact fluency web site. The problem is that our classroom computers are antiquated, the little laptops have keys missing and of the three towers one finally gave up yesterday. We only have the opportunity to use our school computer lab twice a week for 15 to 20 minutes.

With three new computers in our room, the three little laptops, and two old towers we could have three groups rotate through math centers EVERYDAY to practice math fact fluency and utilize the technology portion of our new math adoption.

Your donations would allow my high-need, low socio-economic 2nd graders to participate in the ever evolving world of technology and possibly start them on the path to become our next generation of science and math professionals. You have to know what opportunities there are before you can develop a passion for them.
