Marching Away From Bad Habits

My students need 20 copies of the book "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens" by Sean Covey.

Marching into the 7 Habits of Leadership. I am a high school band director starting to implement a book study with my leaders in the band so that they will have a positive influence on the other kids that look up to them. I am currently working with 9th and 10th graders who are the leaders of my band program.

We are a new school that is starting with nothing, and building a program on little district funds is harder than one might think. By allowing students to learn leadership skills my other kids will begin to have a positive role model to look up to.

By purchasing leadership books, my students will begin reading one chapter at a time, bringing back and relating it to how this effects themselves or the band program that they are in.

With this set of classroom books, my leaders will be able to develop positive leadership skills that they will be able to implement into their lives once they graduate high school and get a job in the work force.
