Imagine a mini UN with individuals from the Far East to South America. Inquisitive minds asking about how the continents came to be. Which has sparked an interest in earth science. As a fourth grade teacher teaching and being in the same environment with these wonderful individuals. I have to come up with innovative ways to address individual learning styles and needs in unique manners. Our number 1 school is located in a high poverty community that is in constant flux. Our school community including parents who are constantly researching ways to offer their child and our students the best educational opportunities and ways to exposure them to different subject areas that spark their interest. By focusing on continued learning beyond their present levels of academic prowess and interest we strive to challenge them to excel at learning.

My students have really taken an interest in finding out as much as they can about continental drifts and how and why Pangaea came about. I am without a means of presenting to them and allowing any on-line information.

Having a LCD projector and computer available to my class. They can access web sites and present there investigations via on-line research projects not only about Pangaea but other areas of interest that will spark more of an interest in the sciences.

Your assistance can really make a difference and impact my students educational experiences by providing them with technology that will be of benefit to them now and to others that will follow them.. Instead of having 32 students crowding around a single computer. The LCD projector and computer will allow me numerous opportunities to reach all of them. Your generous donation will always be apart of their learning experience and make a great impact upon their future learning experiences.
