I teach at an all girls middle school in an inner city. This school is the only public same gender school in our state. Our girls chose our school and work to maintain a 2.5 grade point average. We are an international school and we pride ourselves in a multicultural education

Our middle school was recently added onto the high school and as a result we have next to nothing in supplies. In fact, we do not even have the textbooks required by the district, and receiving these materials are nearly impossible. There is no money in our budget to purchase supplemental materials.

We need an HP net-book for my classroom so my students can receive up-to-date information about the world around them. My students are involved in activities that require research about real-world use of mathematical concepts. A net-book would bring international data into our classroom for my students to calculate.

The girls at our school are inquisitive and appreciative of any type of real-life information that they can relate to their lives and issues that affect them. Your support will help my students compete with other students throughout their community and state. Your support will supply our girls with hands-on real-world data. Your support will empower our students to engage in projects that affect their life and community. They will learn from real-world numbers that actually have meaning to them.
