Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Let's make a movie! My 5th grade students are at an important point in their education. By learning how to make movies and use technology they will increase their chances of succeeding in middle school where it is part of their curriculum. Most of my students do not have a computer at home. Here our school technology is at their finger tips just waiting to be used and learned.

Did you ever have the chance to make a movie in school? I didn't. I think my students would benefit greatly from being able to do it themselves. They apply their knowledge and teach others. Also, to make sure there is enough space, USB drives are wonderful portable tools to be able to use and save your data.

I am asking for 3 cameras so more than one group can create their movie at a time. That also applies to the USB drives. These students will be able to record their movie and then edit it to perfection then save. I would like to be able to save it for them to take home for their parents to see how great and creative they are.

By funding this proposal, you make it possible for students who might not get an opportunity like this at home to be able to make it happen at school. We are preparing the future in our classrooms and technology is the future as well.
