Art Supplies to Make Life More Beautiful!

My students need art supplies in order to foster self-expression in our classroom.

I teach 18 6-year old students in a Title I school. Many of my students have never held paintbrushes and I would very much like to give them opportunities to express their creative sides. We have been talking about how different people have gifts and talents and it would be wonderful for them to find that they have talent for creating beautiful artwork.

Many of these students do not even have crayons at home so they have had very limited opportunities to be creative with any artistic medium.

We need paint, brushes, paper, and other supplies in our classroom so we may use art as a creative outlet. These students are not fluent readers or writers yet so art is very important for them to be able to express themselves.

Your help will enrich the lives of these students. We use literature every day. I try to select books with beautiful and interesting illustrations and colors and the students really respond to it. It would make a real difference for these students to have the opportunity to create their own beautiful illustrations for the books we create in our classroom.
