Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 2nd grade in a high poverty area. Since we are high poverty and our students struggle tremendously in reading, we are a Reading First School.

My students hate reading because they struggle so much at it. It is my job to get them excited about reading. Their newest love is Fancy Nancy books! Fancy Nancy books use a lot of vocabulary my kids don't get at home. Some of my kids will only read Fancy Nancy books!

I am asking for 22 Fancy Nancy books so my entire class will be able to read them! These books are bringing a love for reading they haven't had before!

Your help will make it possibly for my students to become excited about reading again! You will help our reading scores soar! Your help will ensure my students success and love for reading to improve vastly!
