We are "Mad About Math" in Kindergarten!! I Co-Teach a Kindergarten Inclusion Program and our numbers vary from 22-26 children. We work primarily with non disabled children, children with Autism and children with Learning Disabilities. Using manipulatives and a "hands on" approach to mathematics instruction allows us to differentiate our instruction to meet the needs of all of our learners!

We want to use less worksheets and use MORE manipulatives with math so the children are actively engaged. We need to increase our math supplies to allow for even more math opportunities on a daily basis.

My students need wonderful hands-on manipulatives that focus on Number Sense (such as counting box kits, number stamps and math listening center materials). If the project is funded, it will enhance the math manipulatives we are currently using and give a "face-lift" to some of our old resources. Kindergarten students should be surrounded by engaging and appropriate materials. The manipulatives, counting kits and math listening center materials are sure to excite my math maniacs.

Enthusiasm and love of learning is what Kindergarten is all about. Your help will ensure that my students will continue to be Mad About Math! 2, 4, 6, 8 Kindergarten is great!
