Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach in 4th grade in a priority district. This year we were given new science materials to work with! The class was very excited about the opportunity to conduct real science lessons. We are currently working on a Land and Water unit. We have done some really cool science experiments to see the effects of water on soil, and the components that flow to create a runoff. We have been taking pictures with our class digital camera until it just died. =( We were all sad. We have not been able to continue our picture journey of our lessons. I try to take pictures with my cell phone, but the quality is poor. They also print out horrible compared to what we had. We will be soon staring a new unit making ecosystems and adding live animals. It will be an awesome unit to teach. The students would like to track their progress daily for this unit too! We have talked about using a camera to be able to take pictures of the creatures in their habitats, and see what they do to change them. We would like someone to help us, to be able to act like true scientists, taking pictures of our progress. We would like to have clear pictures that we can take home and show our parents, and to build our memories as 4th grade scientists.
