I teach sixth and seventh grade in a small rural school where many are on free and reduced lunches.

Could you imagine reading a book about the Tulsa Race Riots? Could you imagine meeting the author and hearing her speak about the book? Could you imagine being able to ask her questions about what you have read? My kids would love to have this opportunity.

My students have had the opportunity to read, "Tulsa Burning" thanks to DonorsChoose.org. Now help us meet the author! This book is about the Tulsa Race Riots. Noble Chase, the main character, loses his dad, his dog, his house and maybe even his best friend. Please help give my students the opportunity of a lifetime. I am not only teaching my students about the riots, but about the importance of tolerance.

You have made it possible for my students to read the book. Now you can help make it possible to learn about this book and the character through the eyes of the author. Anna Myers is an amazing author and speaker. Please help bring this author to my kids.
