My students need block-play people and multi-ethnic dolls, with a doll wheelchair, doll glasses and hearing aids and a doll guide dog, harness and cane set.

I teach four year old children in a high poverty district in a school that specializes in special needs.

There are several students in the school that have different types of disabilities. My students see children in wheelchairs, blind and deaf children, and children with feeding tubes and such. There is also a mix of different cultures. I want my students to learn that everyone is important and it is okay to be different.

My students need a variety of multicultural dolls and props/materials that show different disabilities (including a guide dog, eyeglasses, a hearing aid, and a wheelchair). Having materials in the room that focus on special needs and other cultures will help my students feel comfortable around those who may be different than them.

You will make it possible for my students to be able to experience all different types of people and will help them grow into well adjusted adults.
