Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach English Language Arts to 7th and 8th graders in a gifted and talented school in NY.

Most of my students love to read but my library shelves are pretty bare, except for some books that I just received through Donors Choose. While we have academic texts in my school, my students want books that they are interested in to read for independent reading.

It is essential for students to read books that they've chosen to help them become life long readers. The goal for each of my students is to read at least 35 books over the school year.

My students have the interest to read, they just need the resources! Please help make this possible by filling my shelves with books that my students will gobble up!
