My students need 6 Math resources, including a "Sir Cumference" book set, Liter Cubes, Magnetic Fraction Circles and AngLegs.

Even though the majority of my fourth grade students live in difficult circumstances and economic hardship, they daily recite our motto," YES WE CAN!"

Many of my students live in situations of crisis; parents who have recently lost a job, homelessness, foster care, and caregivers fighting addictions. Even under such circumstances these amazing children come to school, knowing that their teacher has the highest expectations, and do their personal best.

For our classroom, I have requested sets of fraction circles, geometric solids and metric measurement containers. I have also included a set of books that explain geometric concepts in kid-friendly terms. These math resources will give the children hands-on experiences with difficult mathematical concepts. For many children, this is EXACTLY what they need to help them reach their potential and meet my high expectations.

Your support will ensure that my students have resources that will level the playing field. Since their families cannot afford any extra materials or tutoring, these materials will enhance their understanding and give these children the necessary support to go on to middle school with a background that often supports their membership in advanced mathematics.
