The Balls Are All Gone

My students need 20 balls of various sizes and 5 easy grip ball toss games.

My classroom is made up of 28 students ranging in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. The classroom is a Learning Center which is a combination of students who have less than 50% of their school day in a small group environment and more than 50% of their day (but less than 75%) in a small group environment. Their disabilities range from Learning Disabilities, Speech and Language Impairments, Other Health Impairments, Autism, Emotional Disturbances, and Visual Impairments. I love my students so much.

One of the best things my students can have is the opportunity to "play" on the playground. They can practice socializing with peers, turn taking, and following rules. However, this is next to impossible for my students without playground equipment. We are down to our last playground ball and we still have 95 days of school left.

We need playground balls and Velcro mitts to play at recess. With this equipment, my students would be able to invite peers to play with them experiencing positive interactions with others and keeping them out of trouble. Also, for those that don't want to play with others, and I do have those too, just being able to go and bounce a ball is highly rewarding for them.

You will make it possible for my 28 students to share with their peers at recess, equipment that can be used for all.
