Spring Into Outdoor Learning!

My students need outdoor alphabet and number activities that can be used in sand or water as well as a sand and water play table. They also need outdoor play equipment to include balls, toss bean bags, and jumping ropes.

I teach in a high needs, high poverty, high free and reduced lunch population. I teach full day kindergarten.

Colorado is a beautiful state, but provides limited opportunity for outdoor learning during the harsh Winter months. Once Spring arrives the students need to get out and have fun learning outdoors. However, we have no materials that can be of use to us for outdoor learning. That's where you come in.

My students are in need of alphabet and number skills activities that are meant for outdoor use. They are also in need of a sand and water table that includes letter and number activities. Finally they need outdoor active play equipment such as jump ropes, bean bags and balls that we can use as literacy and Math outdoor obstacle courses.

Our students come from homes where even on the most beautiful of Spring days, they aren't taken outside. You will make it possible for my students to get outside and turn that into a learning experience. These kids love to go outside and if I can teach them while they're having fun and enjoying a beautiful day, then the benefits will be extraordinary.
