Green Thumb, Do We Have One?

My students need a greenhouse, potting soil, label kits and a spray bottle to demonstrate the life cycle of a plant and parts of the plant.

I teach fifth and sixth grade science in a rural, Title I, high poverty pre-k through 12th grade school.

Due to budget cuts and lack of funds from my check book, I am asking for your help to provide some much needed resources to the students in my class. I really want the students to experience the process of planting seeds and seeing them grow.

Many of the students in my class are very high poverty. Some of them have never even noticed that vegetable plants come from seeds. I want the kids to experience first hand how vegetables grow from a seed and develop into what we eat. What better way than to have our very own classroom garden!

With your help, 60 students will be able to see something they may not be able to see anywhere else. Please donate to this project so we can see if we have a green thumb or not!
