My students need 20 Time For Kids News Scoop Edition magazines with Time For Kids Around The World.

I want to give them the World- Can you help? My Second Graders are inquisitive about the World- we pull down the map whenever we talk about a different country, culture, or language- but we'd like to know more about what's happening in those places NOW. Many of my students are from a low-income home. Most don't have computers and many don't have TVs, so talking about current events is difficult.

How can you make kids care about History if they can't make connections to their own life? How can I talk about World Events if my kids have no idea where those places are?

Well, you can help. We would like Time for Kids so that we can bring World News back to the classroom and inspire conversations about World events and the impact they have or will have on our lives.

I'm striving to make my students responsible citizens by teaching them that there is a world outside of where we are and what we do. You can help by bringing world news into our classroom, one week at a time.
