Getting Kids to See Why They Should Wash Their Hands

My students are 6th graders housed in a middle school. Our school is located in a small city.

I teach a unit on bacteria. Part of this unit involves the importance of proper hand washing. Kids do not like to wash their hands and don't really understand how easy it is to spread germs.

I would like to enhance my unit with the "Glo Germ" kit. This activity will help my students see why they should wash their hands. This kit comes with a special gel that is invisible on hands. The UV light will show them that there is actually something there.

Your generosity will make it possible for my students to learn about the importance of washing hands.
