Fun, Fun, Fun and I'm Learning Too!

My students need a GeoSafari Phonics Lab and 8 additional Phonics resources, including a Reading Skills Review.

My 19 second graders need your help. We are a high poverty school (Title 1, 87% free or reduce-price lunch) in North Carolina. My students are culturally diverse, but all love to read (or try to!). Our district has so many needs, and so little money to spread around.

My students range from those who barely know the alphabet to those who are reading at a 4th grade level. We work in small groups, so while I work with one group, other groups have a variety of tasks. My students love to play the few reading games that we have, but I have few.

What is more fun that having a wide variety of reading games to play to help cement the skills that you have learned. I have chosen a selection of games to practice their skills, from phonics to comprehension. The games are colorful, fun, and will teach my students so much.

Everyday I try to find new ways to spark their interests, to keep their love of reading moving forward. These games will be loved by my class, and used for many years to come.
