My second grade class is the most wonderful class in our school. They are friendly, excited about learning, and love being in our class. However, our classroom is a very old trailer.

We are a Title 1 school, with most students living at the poverty level. Our school is diverse, with many cultures and races. I know that many of my children live in unattractive homes and apartments. Their parents barely have enough money to feed and clothe them. I've tried to make our classroom as visually appealing as possible, but the reality is that it is a very old trailer. Storage is minimal, and there are so many books, manipulatives, supplies, and art materials that just don't have a permanent home. When I'm lucky enough to get a Donor's Choose proposal funded, my first question is, "Where can I keep these items?".

I want a place for everything! I've chosen a well-built wooden shelving system that has pull-out colorful plastic tubs. We will be able to find permanent homes for our supplies and books, and everyone will know where to go to get those items.

Let me show my students what order looks like. They have so little in their lives, and I am trying in every way to make their lives, and their education, better!
