I teach French and Spanish in a California rural high school. My students are from 9-12 grade level. We have very little funding for technology and I have my students do lots of speaking projects and skits during the year and I must say that they greatly enjoy playing actors and watch their productions to improve their performance. I would also like to use the camcorder during our homestays/exchange trips organized in Europe every other year and give the students long lasting memories on tapes.

We have few supplies and our camcorders are ancient, few are still functioning properly. My students love to act and make films of their plays and skits in the foreign languages taught.

We need a new camcorder to be used in class and our trips. My students will use it to make films, to learn how to edit them and to produce them for other classes and the community to show samples of class projects.

Your help will give access to recent technology to the students and trigger more interest and enthusiasm for the plays they produce. They will be able to share their performances with others and show examples of what they can do to inspire others.
