I teach middle school science in a school that is an island of hope and inspiration among others in this urban neighborhood.

Our students struggle with negative influences all around them. Our whole school believes that each and every student can and will go to college- we provide education to our scholars and their parents as well.

To improve their attitude intrinsically, I am documenting their work and activities in class and labs. To do this I will scan in work, art work, diagrams, and other important achievements. After scanning, they will still be able to take home their prized possession, and I will be able to display their work for the school to see. For activities and work too large to scan, I can use a digital camera to capture their best actions, and cooperation that make them successful.

Many of my students do not believe that they can be successful in science. I want to motivate them to be proud of their own work. Your donation will make it possible for my students to realize success in science, and believe in their own achievements.
