Dear Supporters, We are supervising Public Achievement, a student run program in which they find ways to help the community and make the school a better place. Their goal is to obtain a camera and printer that the whole class can use for academic and personal growth. The students came up with many reasons for their need for this request. Academically, the camera will be useful for learning multimedia skills, research and project presentations. Students will also use the camera for personal growth. By taking what they know and sharing it with the class, the students will practice communication skills and find new ways of bonding through personal experiences. Many of our student’s families do not own cameras. Photographs are a great way to preserve memories. A class camera will give each student the opportunity to capture and remember their progress, both academic and personal, in the years to come. As both mentors and supervisors, we would love to see the students achieve their goal and be able to present this privilege to their classmates. All of us in the Public Achievement group greatly appreciate your support!
