"Kindergarten students learn their numbers and how to add without any materials??? It is just NOT POSSIBLE! It is hard to teach Kindergarten Kiddos how to add, much less any of the basics with no supplies what-so-ever!

At the beginning of the year I was presented pencils and paper - THAT'S IT! No other supplies were purchased or even handed down when I stepped into my current Kindergarten position.

My students are in dire need of math center activities, as they can't learn to count and do mathematics with paper and pencil alone. Counting requires manipulatives! Through this proposal, our classroom would obtain counters, center counting games, and number tracing practice games. I thoroughly believe in my students. I KNOW they can do it, but without the needed supplies it may not be accomplished.

Please help make it possible for my students. These math activities are what they need to succeed. They need you!
