We are a classroom of first and second graders on the quest for scientific truth! There are 22 of us in the classroom and we are inspired to study everything we can find out about the ocean around us. We are part of a public charter school in Hawaii - surrounded by an ocean just waiting to be explored.

We are lucky to live so close to the precious resource we are studying - and we need an awesome document camera to really explore the ocean artifacts that we collect in our field trips. A document camera can project an ocean artifact that we find up to our smart board where the whole class can marvel and study the object.

As part of our young scientific community, it is invaluable for students to discuss, compare, wonder and observe an artifact or object from the ocean as part of a whole group activity. Being able to project things onto our smart board will allow all the students in the classroom to see the object and be part of the classroom discussions.

Your donation to this project will help us cultivate great scientific minds at young ages. We can study our ocean, the creatures and items from the ocean in an up close and personal way with a document camera. Thanks for supporting the development of young scientists!
