Have you ever wanted to print something, and then remembered that you have no ink? That is our frustration everyday. I have a wonderful class full of eager-to-learn, technologically savvy 1st graders. Our school focuses on the use of technology in the classroom.

I have student computers in my classroom. We use these computers for research, to write Microsoft Word documents, and even make PowerPoint presentations about the topic we are studying. When the students are finished writing in Microsoft Word or finished creating a PowerPoint presentation, I save it on a USB cable and take it to my printer to print the document. The students do not have a student printer to print from. My students work so hard to finish their final product, and do not get the satisfaction of printing their work on their own.

I would like to get a printer for the student computers so that when the students are finished with their final research product, they can print their papers themselves. This printer will help the students see the final product that they have worked so hard to create and will give them a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.

You will make it possible for my students to see their final product being printed and give them the self-confidence they need to keep doing great work!
