My students are considered "at-risk" students. They are at-risk of dropping out of school and at-risk of being uneducated, unmotivated and unemployed. My students are all on Individualized Education Plans that are built to support their positive behaviors and try to diminish their negative behaviors that have lead to negative consequences. Our class is designed to build character. Our program goal is that every student has the opportunity to attend college after graduating from high school.

I am in need of some technology to help with in class instruction. My students are diverse learners who learn in multiple ways due to multiple disabilities. I have attempted to acquire a PowerPoint projector in the past, but have been given materials that break quickly due to age, wear and tear.

What we are asking for is a power point projector that will project lessons onto a screen in class. I am also asking for a laser pointer to help me as I instruct in class. I teach social skills and character development, and in order to facilitate discussion we show movie clips. A new projector would help us to see the message.

Your help will ensure that my students have the necessary materials to see the messages that they are being taught. Our program goal is to help build pride and confidence. This will help to improve social skills, develop real world intelligence, and give them experiences that will help build their self worth.
