Students need output supplies including a drum kit for a printer, toner cartridges, and presentation paper for them to see their digital work in hard copy.

Digital Graphics is the third largest industry in the U.S. I tell my students. All the stuff we read, the graphics on clothes we wear, the cars we drive, the computer games we play.. are all heavily dependent on creative technologies. I teach in a high needs neighborhood school that needs every advantage we can get to interest students in real world skills. I teach 9th through 12th grade students who often don't see the connection between the stuff we create in the computer classroom setting and the stuff they buy and do every day.

We do not have resources to close the understanding gap between computer generated products and the products themselves. My students are always wanting to print their creations so they can show them to family and friends. They do some amazing stuff. I have to tell them the printer is out of toner, or we are out of paper, or the printer needs parts. I hate to see them disappointed. Unfortunately, the budget doesn't support upkeep and maintenance on the great HP printers I have and the supplies aren't inexpensive. We have an HP 4500 Color laser Jet and a HP 5550 Color Laser Jet capable of printing these amazing creations.

I need some supplies to help celebrate the achievements these students have successfully completed. One in the hand is worth two in the bush as the saying goes. Some quality prints that students can take and show in a portfolio or just a show piece will help the confidence of the students and close the connection gap between what the students do digitally and where it goes or could go.

With the HP supplies we request we could make computer graphics a viable career option for students who want to put their skills to work in digital graphics. They may well want to work for a company like yours in the next few years. This gap cannot be closed without your help. Your help is greatly needed in this partnership.
