Basic Writing Supplies for Second Grade Scholars

My students need writing supplies such as 20 notebooks, pencils, a pencil sharpener, and a writing chart.

Help my second grade scholars develop critical writing skills! I teach in a high-needs school in Louisiana, and my students do not have the basic supplies they need to develop their writing skills.

Although I am able to provide some notebooks and pencils, we have used our previous supplies earlier in the year. My students are now becoming more able to write in complete sentences on a given topic, but we don't have the supplies we need in order to continue our development as writers.

Our class needs an electric pencil sharpener (we have one mounted on the wall that routinely breaks), pencils, notebooks, chart paper and a chart stand. These supplies will enable the students to develop their writing skills by participating in shared writing.

Your help will empower my students to become the writers that I know they can be! They have so many creative ideas but need to develop the ability to write down their thoughts in a coherent way.
