Taking visual ideas and turning them into verbal communication. This is a meta-cognitive process that is essential to an artists repudiator of skills.

The senior artist want this particular book because of its insight on 21st century art and how to put it into context with the time line of art history. All of their present art history books end in the 1950's and give a brief and confusing look into the future of art.

This book will fulfill the entire scope of art history and prepare them for further study in college. Students need a well rounded art education to complete a fully developed portfolio. Part of this portfolio is the ability to speak about their work.

There are more senses than we tend to realize, for instance have you ever taken into account that balance is actually a sense. There is also more to intelligence. This book will help to inspire the visual sense in my students and help them develop new ways of seeing. Thus serving two parts of their art training, the intellectual part to art and the practice of making art. This kind of deep study of art history will surely impact the way they think about, express and talk about art.
